Robin Rest
Robin has been in the trade for over 44 years. It began with a passion for vehicles from an early age. He showed clear talent when awarded apprentice of the year in 1978 while working at a Renault and Porsche Dealership.
Robin then moved on to open a vehicle repair garage in Yorkshire, returning to Leicestershire several years later to establish a business supplying trained mechanics for the service of fleet cars.
In 1996 he took ownership of Starkie and Palmer and in 2001 purchased the Fairfield Road garage premises along with his wife Sara and son James.
James Brylka
At 18 James started as an apprentice with Lex Automotives, where he progressed to becoming a fully qualified mechanic.
Gaining five years' experience in full vehicle repairs and servicing, and progressing to MOT testing. He then joined his parents at Starkie & Palmer.
James is delighted to work on an increasing number of customers' classic cars, some have featured on TV's 'Bangers & Cash'!

Ben Crawley
Ben is a mechanic with 20 years experience, 4 of which are at Starkie & Palmer. He has Bosch training and is an MOT tester.
Away from the garage he enjoys Carp fishing, travelling around in camper van as much as possible and taking his dog for very long walks at weekends.
